Albergo San Montano, luxury hotel on Ischia

Submitted on Tuesday, 20 November 2007No Comment

Albergo San Montano is a luxury hotel on Ischia, a unique and beautiful Italian island. The Isles of Capri and Ischia guard the Bay of Naples like two beacons; Ischia in the north is the larger and, for some, far more interesting. Now an extinct volcano, Ischia is blessed with a myriad of thermal springs, therapeutic minerals and mud. There are volcanic reefs offshore, one being a bizarre giant mushroom-shaped rock not far from Albergo San Montano. Two pools, broad sun decks, serpentine paths and landscaped gardens follow the contours of the hill crowned by the hotel, Albergo San Montano.

Services
Albergo San Montano has 58 spacious rooms and 15 luxurious suites. The interiors are consummate examples of fine Italian artistry. Luxurious. Elegant. Cool as can be! The 360-degree panorama is exploited from every angle: the bedrooms, the restaurant serving the best regional cuisine and all the tiered terraces. The thermal waters are particularly potent in this area, hence the magnificent spa facilities offering rejuvenating, holistic treatments, remedial therapies and everything in between.

Location: Albergo San Montano is located on the island of Ischia, in the gulf of Naples. From the hotel there is a spectacular view, with Naples and the Sorrentina Peninsular to the east, Epomeo Mountain to the south, the coast of Flegrea and Gaeta to the north and to the west, the sea through which the island of Ventotene sometimes appears. It is 15 minutes by car from Albergo San Montano to Ischia harbour, 50 minutes by hydrofoil to Naples harbour, 25 minutes by car to Naples Airport.
